Graphitization requires a device for processing in the industry, which uses a 2500C blackbody furnace. There are different forms with slightly different functions.
Graphitization is the process of obtaining graphite by exposing carbon or low alloy steel to high temperatures to degrade the microstructure into graphite. The metal produced by this process is more ductile, prone to cracks and damage, and pure graphite (carbon) is a by-product. This process takes a long time to occur naturally, but to make it happen under controlled conditions, whether it is in the laboratory or industry, use a 2500C blackbody furnace to expose carbon or low to allow the steel to be exposed to high temperature for a period of time, to Make graphitization happen. What are the functionalities of a 2500C Blackbody Furnace and other high-temperature furnaces?
Horizontal Graphitization Furnace: The 2500c Blackbody furnace comes under this type with the highest operating temperature of 3000c and front-loading option. The medium frequency induction heating method is used either with a round or cubic zone shape. The graphite crucible is positioned at the center as the susceptor through which the current is induced. The main advantages are easy loading and unloading in bulk, easy maintenance, and easy spare replacement. The only disadvantage is the cost being high. 
Vertical Graphitization Furnace: This is more or less the same as the Horizontal GF except the loading and unloading is on the bottom and top. Uses the same medium frequency induction heating and a water-cooling system. This kind of vertical GF is used in an automated process where the input and output are part of a continuous process. The major downside of this kind of 2500c blackbody furnace is they are not easy to repair or swap spares. 
Bottom Unloading Graphitization Furnace: It is very much close to the Vertical GF except both the loading and unloading happen through the bottom. It uses the hydraulic lift for the loading and unloading process.

Trial production of graphitization furnace:  it is mainly used for the last procedure- graphitization process of Graphite. It uses a small feed port, which enough to input small materials such as pitch-based carbon fiber, silicon carbide, and similar powdery substances. This type of GF is easier to maintain than any other GF and is environmentally friendly.
Laboratory Graphitization Furnace: It can have any of the above-mentioned furnace working mechanisms and many variable parameters such as temperature, loading and unloading options, the option to change the heating method, and even provide research flexibility. The size of the laboratory furnace is quite small.
